  Alchemist’s Awakening is a procedural building game where you create your own world entirely made of blocks.
  You are a young Alchemist who is still discovering how much power he has, and who his destiny is about to lead him. He lives in an infinite world made of blocks, and everything you see in his world is generated from combinations of these blocks. Explore this world, combining and breaking blocks to create your own kind of world, and discovering places where nothing exists yet. Discover and combine rare elements in order to create powerful attacks and weapons. When you’re ready, you can combine your blocks to create whatever you want, using machines you build to gather the necessary blocks or resources.   What’s new in Alchemist’s Awakening:

  is a popular house on the Hellboy fan list. Anyone who has seen the film or comic (or seen it as many times as David) is thoroughly at home here. While I’ve seen probably a dozen times, I’ve only sat through it a handful of times. Of course, I didn’t really care to. It’s a work of fiction, not art or film, but amateurs, of all people, would be more interested in Mike Mignola’s artwork. Sure, it’s good, but I feel like the movie’s done enough to my conscience that I don’t have to get bogged down in the art. I see his stylistic touch throughout, and though nothing can really ever replace the original work, it’s a pretty damn good adaptation. This isn’t purely opinion, but I recall that at the time I watched it, there was the idea of it being the definitive graphic novel adaptation, and therefore quite impressive to watch it played out in front of me.

  At first, it’s hard to even remember where things had begun. Hellboy had been around for quite a while now, and there was a lot of manga comics in Japan. So, I should have known that a lot of the ideas were taken from somewhere else. One of those, from the origin of Hellboy himself, came from the Emmy-award winning TV show. You know how in the opening credits, there’s a section where the prominent violinist plays a piece of music while it’s written across the screen, seeing as how human hands can’t play as fast? Well, the musician’s playing the same piece of music on the first Hellboy comic issue, and seeing as how a riverboat captain once walked by and saw Hellboy, a revelation was created. It was dark music that, put to a frame, caused you to worry for the stranger, and soon that stranger would be Hellboy.

  Not to say that the Hellboy comics just pointed in that direction and sat there. There have been several differing ideas of who or what was responsible for Hellboy’s creation, and the word was later trademarked. Thus: Hellboy. John Byrne is credited with having started his idea with some serious thought, as he had seen a young boy warily watch his parents bang pots together, then he gave it a name.
