Create multiple layers of images on your canvas. Hold the Shift key down to convert the layer into a stack. This creates a new image layer in your layer stack. This enables you to use this image layer as a stack of images to build a new image. For example, you could create a new image layer by stacking many photographs of models.

When you’re dealing with photo-editing applications, it’s important to make sure that you’re working with a version that’s compatible with your operating system. For example, keep in mind that Photoshop has different versions available for Mac and Windows. Some version functions are only available on one platform, and some are only available on the other.

In addition to making sure that you’re working with a compatible version, another important thing to keep in mind is that the file-structure options may look slightly different. You’ll find examples of these differences in the «Formatting the file» section, later in this chapter.

Design the new image

After you start your canvas, you’re ready to begin your design. You’ll need to create a new layer of the image you want to work on. Figure 11-1 shows a photo of a rabbit that I’ve cropped to be about 75 percent of the original size.

Some people like to create multiple layers of images — for example, to create a panoramic image by creating layers of small images and then stacking them. In this example, the rabbit was selected because I wanted to have a fresh piece of paper for that specific image.

When you create a new layer, Photoshop creates a Copy of Current Contents layer beneath it, as shown in Figure 11-1, that contains the image you created on the current layer. This way, if you inadvertently edit the copy of the image, you don’t change the main image.

In this exercise, you can add a new layer to the image and then edit it. Notice in Figure 11-2 that the layer is a little bit transparent. This is easy to change; you can select the layer and use the Paintbrush (B) tool to paint with white or other colors over the picture. You can also erase the entire layer with the Eraser (E) tool.

Step 1: Background

Open up Photoshop Elements and start up a new file by going to File > New.

Photoshop Elements by default has a grid and a 500px grid around the image, but you can see there are grid lines and even a grid pattern on the images.

To remove the grid around your image, first click the Layers button in the toolbar.

This brings up the Layers Panel. Click the New Layer button. Choose Background from the Type menu.

Double-click the Background layer in the Layers Panel.

If you make any adjustments to the background layer, you’ll see a Black/White adjustment box so you can control the levels of the layer.

We want to remove all the grid lines and pattern on our image, so we’ll use the Black/White adjustment box to control the level of our background. Click the Black/White area until the layer fills up the entire image.

Press Ctrl + J/Cmd + J to accept the level change. To find the Black/White area, the White color is the highest and the Black color is the lowest value in the image.

If the grid and pattern on your image is a problem, here’s another way to get rid of the grid in Photoshop Elements.

You can access the Spot Healing Brush tool by going to the Tools panel, then select the Spot Healing Brush by clicking the tool and then pressing the spacebar.

The Spot Healing Brush works by highlighting individual areas in an image and selecting the best value. Click to select the part of the image that’s been highlighted, and the model of the Photoshop Elements 2019 update automatically adjusts the image.

Step 2: Model

Launch the Sketchbook tool by going to the Tools panel, then choosing Sketchbook.

If you don’t have the Sketchbook tool, you can get a free Photoshop Elements update by clicking the Update button on the Photoshop Elements 2019 update page.

Click the Sketchbook icon, which is a silhouette of a sketchbook.

This will open up the Sketchbook tool window.

You Missed The Boat — What Lovers Do

This is the second album of You Missed the Boat that I have listened to and even at this point, I can still sing along to many of their songs. I love their sound, the harmonies and the constant guitar riffs throughout the album. «What Lovers Do» is a perfect song for the ones that are in love and are ready to just spend the rest of their lives together.Q:

How to get an element by id using Javascript (or any Javascript) on a page that is loaded dynamically?

Ok, so I have a page where I load a div from another page, I’m not using the ajax technique for this, I’m simply loading the div into the current page.
So this is the page that loads the div:

$(page).load(‘Balance.aspx’);

}

When called from a button, it works fine and the div that I’m loading has an id=»balanceBox».
But once loaded, there is not, I don’t know why and this is where I need your help.
My question: Is there a way to get the element by id or retrieve it from the currently loaded page?
If the answer is no, I’m ok with the fact I don’t know how to do it but I will take any method you recommend, which one should I use?
If the answer is yes, can you please explain your solution.

You have to do this:
var element = document.getElementById(«balanceBox»);

Or:
var element = document.getElementByClassName(«balanceBox»);

But if you want to get the element by ID — don’t use a class name to define that ID, that’s why its not working.

And there is no solution with your situation. Because you have to click a button, before the JS runs, so you can’t get this DOM object, before it is ready
