History
AutoCAD Torrent Download was created by John Walker and Vladimir Koyfman in November 1982. Koyfman presented the initial concept for AutoCAD as an extension of the original graphics-oriented CAD program he created at the University of Illinois in the early 1970s. AutoCAD was the only app capable of 3D modeling, and it competed against other 3D programs such as AutoCAD’s 3D version, StrataVision 3D. In November 1984, AutoCAD’s first major release, version 1.0, was released. New features included 2D drafting tools, a 2D perspective camera, 3D drafting tools, and several new types of drawing, including sub-polygons and polylines. John Walker and Vladimir Koyfman both remain employees at Autodesk. In 1995, Autodesk was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
By March 1991, Autodesk reported that AutoCAD’s license fee had grown to more than $20 million a year.
In December 1998, Autodesk introduced AutoCAD 2000, the first version of AutoCAD to be based on an object-oriented architecture. The goal was to make it easier for non-programmers to make drawings.
In 1998, Autodesk bought software developer Rhumbix, which was acquired by Autodesk in 2000. AutoCAD 2000 was developed together with Rhumbix, and initially used Rhumbix’s drawing engine.

While all AutoCAD 2015 users were eligible for an upgrade to AutoCAD 2016, only those customers who purchased a new version of AutoCAD 2016 or higher received free upgrades to AutoCAD 2018.
