DICOM Compare is a small, handy application specially designed to help you compare the content of DICOM images.
You can use it to compare the content of an image with the standard DICOM definition for the same modality. Just drop a DICOM image on the program and it will show you all the tags in the DICOM definition of that modality with the tags used in the image in a different color.

This application helps to compare the content of a DICOM image with the standard DICOM definition. Simply drop a DICOM image on the program, all the tags used in the DICOM image in the tagged in a different color, the standard DICOM image is also added, for example if the standard definition contains the tags:
*The Standard Description shall be used to describe the object on the volume that this study is intended to represent*.
*The Encapsulated file shall be used to aid the transmission over computer networks*
*The the Performer shall be used to indicate the person who performed the examination*.
In this way you’ll see if the tags in the image is compatible with the standard DICOM definition for the same modality. The application shows the images and the standard definition side by side and you can easily select the tags you want to compare.
The application can operate on JPEG, DICOM or NP-JPEG images. I have added some buttons on the toolbar to select the kind of images. The application defaults to handling DICOM images.

Please note that this application isn’t meant to replace DICOM Explorer, which is the official application for viewing DICOM images. You are recommended to use that application. Also DICOM Explorer and DICOM Compare cannot open DICOM files of different modality than they are set to open.

How to handle nil values in Rails?
I want to implement a requirement of send mail on some event on Rails. In my ActionMailer, it throws an error when the controller contain nil value, the code is below:

Commands To Start/Stop Execution:
Select a compatible DICOM image and click on ‘Start’ command icon (or use the hot key CTRL+R). It will start finding all the tags in DICOM standard and showing those tags in blue in the application.
Select a different DICOM image and click on ‘Stop’ icon (or use the hot key CTRL+S). It will stop showing tags in blue.
