In the exercise, you see the outline of some of the steps in the process, but the exercise takes you beyond the steps into the business concerns that most of us would not think about. For example, when a potential client requests a proposal for a newsletter, you must analyze the market and decide whether to develop a newsletter or convert the project to a Web site. When the prospect invites you to design a Web site, you must consider the long-term picture of what a Web site is, what it’s supposed to do for the client and your company, and whether it’s truly needed.
The exercise’s format is pretty informal, as you see in the following sections. But if you want to get better at Photoshop, you need to put aside the casual approach and begin thinking like a more seasoned graphics professional.

Photographing a model
The e-mail newsletter you created in the earlier section «Photographing a model» is a good one. It makes good, human-interest copy, but it doesn’t set the stage for a newsletter that’s going to get you graphic design work. All too often, people send newsletters that they don’t even think through.
The newsletter, shown in Figure 7-1, is a simple, attractive, professional-looking newsletter. It’s well produced, made in sections, and includes a good choice of fonts. However, it’s not very polished. The copywriter who wrote the email probably wrote more than one draft of the newsletter and sent it for editing. On a website, this would be called the second draft, and it’s not a finished product. In a newsletter, however, you want to be as polished as you can be. You don’t want to send out this version, and you’re not going to get any clients doing it. The issue is that you may have done your best, but it’s still not good enough.
In your next newsletter, you need to produce a newsletter that people will want to read. You need to go back to the drawing board and write the draft of the newsletter with top-quality writing. You should polish the copy that’s written.

The US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) was created in 1989 in response to the emergence of HIV. Since then, USAMRIID has developed a number of tools and techniques for studying viral infections. In order to better understand the structural determinants of antibody neutralization of HIV-1 we have performed detailed studies of the 4E10 antibody, the first broadly neutralizing antibody identified against HIV-1. This antibody has broad activity against a panel of HIV-1 and a number of other viruses, and appears to be directed against a conserved region of gp41. We have used X-ray crystallography to determine that the epitope recognized by 4E10 is composed of the N-terminus of the gp41 ectodomain from which it is inferred that 4E10 recognizes a discontinuous epitope. I have a checkbox that adds all of the checkboxes in the div with the class ‘name to the main checkbox. Then I am trying to call an ajax request and then hide the div of that index.
What happens is that the first one is called and hides but the second one gets a break error in chrome saying:
