Review Of The Origin Of Valak’s Story?
Being a spin off from the film The Conjuring and becoming one of the films in The Conjuring Universe. The Nun film was made to introduce the origin of a demon named Valak who had appeared in the film The Conjuring 2. Valak himself in this film is expressed as a nun in the form of a demon.
Uniquely, this film has a main character played by Taissa Farmiga, the younger sister of Vera Farmiga who also plays the character Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring Universe.
The Nun was not directed by James Wan, just like the Annabelle film, James Wan worked only as a producer. Even though James Wan’s cold hands generally handle films in The Conjuring Universe.
There are appearances whose settings are easy to guess, as if it gives the impression that the producer has run out of ideas to provide spooky action in his film. Fortunately, the acting of the brave nurse Irene (Taissa Farmiga) is quite good in this film, not too much and not a weak beautiful girl character. But, for movie freaks who might still be curious about the Conjuring Universe, well, please watch this film while it’s still available in Medan city cinemas.

This film ties in nicely to the beginning of The Conjuring (2013), and sadly that’s the best thing The Nun has managed to achieve. This is like a throw-away movie, which is available only to fill in areas that really don’t have any effect if left empty. Looking back at it, at first glance, it can indeed seem impressive how this film turned out to be a complete story from one scene in the previous film. But from the manufacturer’s point of view, yes, all aspects can indeed be extended. It’s not really difficult to make up a story from one minor aspect of a feature-length film, and draw a new story from there. The Nun’s story itself is not a complex story, it’s really simple, in fact. So, the best thing that is done by this film also doesn’t mean much. They only brought in new backgrounds, new characters, and what was more recently, they weren’t able to develop to the fullest.
Taissa Farmiga was asked to play Sister Irene who was appointed by the Vatican as the person Father Burke needs to take to investigate the Cursed Abbey. We are indeed given clear that Irene has Vision; he is able to witness and communicate with spirits – just like Burke. But it’s never clear to us why the Vatican specifically chose him, who hasn’t even sworn in yet. I mean, out of all www.thenunmovie.com, is she really the only one who can see? There should have been a specific reason, but Irene’s reason for being a character in the film was still a mystery until the end of the story. I’m satisfied with Taissa, I think she’s great in American Horror Story, she’s already good at playing horror – in fact, Taissa won Unyu op the Year thanks to her appearance in this series. At The Nun, he also didn’t play badly. Unfortunately, the character he plays here is half-baked.
Taissa is the sister of Vera Farmiga, who plays Lorraine in the Conjuring universe, they are naturally the same – so of course there is something intended from the casting, right? Makes us wonder if their characters are indeed the same person. But anyway that also doesn’t make sense, there’s way number Irene and Lorraine are the same person. The only thing is a nurse, sacrifice is her character’s arc, it becomes impossible when she grows up to marry, let alone change her name. Irene will lose her arc if she gets married. There is no indication that the main character has any interaction with the main character of the story universe, causing Irene to be more and more random to be there.
