Until Thursday, the administration had refused to release the full text of the letter it wrote to victims’ families. The government told families that the letter was being withheld because it contained information that would jeopardize U.S. intelligence operations.

But in a follow-up call, one U.S. official said that the department “now recognizes that the redacted information is unclassified and does not contain sensitive information.” That official spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a private call.

In the call, the official said that the government would begin releasing the full text of the letter.

The Sept. 11 Victim Compensation Fund, which was created in 2008 to compensate the loved ones of those killed in the attacks, would continue to pay about $2.7 million a day in compensation to eligible victims and their families.

However, the fund has been unable to pay out any money for nearly four years. In this study we evaluated the outcomes of SLN biopsy alone in a large population of patients with metastatic melanoma.

**METHODS:** A retrospective chart review was performed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital of all patients with stage I or II cutaneous melanoma with clinically positive lymph nodes who underwent SLN biopsy without ALND from 1995 to 2013.
