      I love Final Fantasy games.
      That being said I really can’t stand this one.
      …What makes this game so bad is that it’s really good.
      This is my least favorite game of all time in my opinion.
      Main complaint: Stealth kills in the sense that it’s just a button press away from ‘Oh shit I just got slain’
      Gameplay: I found the controls to be clunky. You basically have 4 things to move with the right stick in the ideal direction. Movement is pretty easy. Walking is mostly just a left stick stick since that’s the ‘normal’ stick.
      Controls still have that awkward clunkiness to them
      Hitting is like a button to move and a button to attack. You have to be careful of the fact that you can’t hit what you want to hit due to the ZR movement not being a problem.
      Attacking is like you hit Attack and then press a direction. It doesn’t work very well. It feels disconnected from the RTS system and should be bound to the attack button since you can only attack in a certain direction. Attack button is pretty awkward. Pressing it goes in one of three directions and seems to make no sense at all to why you are doing it.
      The fighting and RPG portions of the game are actually good and are enjoyable but the Stealth is just awful
      Strategy: I’ve seen other people write how the controls are clunky and awkward but I would have to be an idiot to be angry about the controls.
      What I would really like to talk about is the strategy aspect of the game. In my honest opinion it’s pretty much all terrible. There are so many things that I don’t understand.
      The RTS when you get to the multiplayer modes does a pretty good job in its own area of strategy but I’m not a huge fan of how it works in multiplayer.
      The combat is really bad. When I’m fighting it feels like the RTS is being executed in parallel with the combat. I feel like the combat might as well be an RTS system since that’s how it feels in my opinion.
      Combat is pretty standard to Final Fantasy titles but it plays it a little better. I don’t really have a problem with the combat.

      That said, I really enjoyed how fast it sped up the pace. It was really amazing to see how quickly we were able to acheive the next level of dungeons.
