It can be installed onto a USB flash drive, SD card, USB to Floppy adapter, external hard drive, or any supported PC. The emulator is a one-to-one copy of the floppy disk with the same capacity.

The driver allows you to install it on the list of drivers. The procedure is quite simple.

1. Copy the.exe file to your USB drive and run it.
2. Create a folder on your USB drive that you can locate later on.
3. Put the floppy file you want to emulate on the SD card.
4. Connect your USB drive to the computer and set it up.
5. Run the.exe file and insert the floppy in the floppy drive.
6. It can be an animated or a static image as you prefer. The simulation is great!

It is highly recommended that you do a backup before using the tool because the created floppy disk can be overwritten in case something goes wrong.
Please note that the floppy images provided by HxCFloppyEmulator are created with the Rar or the WinRar file archiver. You might want to create your own if your computer does not support those applications, and if your computer supports to use the files created by those, it would be even better.
