It’s a simple matter of learning a few keyboard shortcuts to play and record, save and load, or run the Miditzer from any computer running Windows 7 or later.
There are 7 piano-like virtual keyboards on the display, 6 of which are hidden and only one is shown on the screen. Clicking the Piano symbol (or hitting the F1 key) brings the hidden keyboards to the foreground.
To record, simply press and hold the UP or DOWN arrow keys on the keyboard.
To play, hold the UP or DOWN arrow keys and press the spacebar to create a sound.
To stop, hold the UP or DOWN arrow keys and press the enter key.
To play another note press the spacebar. To stop, hold the UP or DOWN arrow keys and press the spacebar again.
To save the file, hold the UP or DOWN arrow keys and press the enter key.
To load a saved file, hold the UP or DOWN arrow keys and press the enter key.
To run the program, hold the UP or DOWN arrow keys and press the spacebar.
Optional settings can be configured by going into Options>Settings>Preferences>Keyboard.
Optional settings include:
￭ Key macros: The computer keys R to O can be mapped to perform any of the above functions.
￭ MIDI output: The computer keys R to O can be mapped to play MIDI patterns from a MIDI sequencer.
￭ Artistic display: The keyboard can be mapped to display any number of operators and/or operators on the pedal board.
￭ Media Player/Recorder: MIDI messages can be sent to control the Playback/Recording via MIDI. This feature requires a Miditzer Style 216 or Miditzer Style 216 PCI to work.
￭ Normal keyboard graphics: The keyboard graphics can be controlled.
